Conscious multiplicity

The principle that the same ixperiencitness can be simultaneously produced by multiple physical systems. You are not limited to one body at one time.

At this moment, is there only one body in the universe producing your particular conscious experience? The theory argues: not necessarily. If consciousness is produced by structure, and if structure can be replicated, then two bodies with the right structure could both be producing your ixperiencitness (the quality that makes your conscious experience yours) right now.

This is conscious multiplicity - the simultaneous production of the same experience by more than one physical system. It challenges the assumption that each person is unique in a way that prevents any copy from being equally real. If two bodies are structurally identical in the relevant ways, both are equally you, at the same time.

What this means

You may not be the only body in the universe producing your consciousness right now - and if that is true, your death cannot end your consciousness entirely.

'Conscious multiplicity' is the concept that there can be many different versions of your consciousness that you will experience at the same time if the corresponding correct structure and functioning of matter is produced. There will be no awareness of these other consciousnesses from any particular conscious perspective unless it is included in the consciousness itself.
